We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a German-speaking Inside Sales role with a global biotechnology company specialising in antibodies and related products. This is a permanent position that will be based out of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
PURPOSE
The German-speaking Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for managing a wide variety of European Customers who interact with our Client through a variety of digital and personal channels. The role will focus on prospecting, qualifying and closing quotations for orders by taking responsibility for large volume and bespoke opportunities. In order to deliver on revenue expectations, the Specialist will proactively make outbound calls and schedule customer visits as well as manage incoming email and phone inquiries. The role has no borders or boundaries, and would suit someone with strong German language skills, and who enjoys both proactive as well as reactive prospecting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver on revenue expectations for catalogue and large volume sales
- Qualify leads and make decisions on discount strategy for opportunities.
- Maintain constant communication with customers throughout quoting process and work toward building relationships
- Follow up with customers after quoting process to determine outcome and close business.
- Develop and implement a proactive strategy for prospecting new business, including customer outreach for qualified leads resulting from marketing campaigns/efforts.
- Recommend complementary products and cross-sell
- Utilise a CRM to manage an opportunity pipeline
- Travel to sales meetings, and regional conferences and roadshows up to 10% of time
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree qualified in a related Life Sciences discipline
- Experience in a similar sales or inside sales role
- Strong communication skills including fluent German and English language skills, both verbal and written
- Creative thinker, and proactive in taking initiative
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of strategic and tactical marketing techniques
- Confident individual, a good communicator and be able to follow through in all your projects
